The Trust celebrates its 1000th Alumnus The Windsor Leadership Trust reached a milestone half way through 2007 when it saw the 1000th participant pass through its programmes. Jim Kennedy, Head of IT Development, Operations at Airwave, became the Trust’s 1000th Alumnus after attending the June Initial Windsor Meeting.
The landmark was celebrated at the End-of-Programme Dinner where participants were joined by guests from a number of organisations including Cable & Wireless, The Leadership Trust, the National Senior Careers Advisory Service for the Police and the College of St George. Christopher Rodrigues MBE, the Trust’s Chairman designate (appointed 1 August 2007) made the announcement following dinner and presented Jim with a reminder of the Trust.
Following the announcement, Jim commented ‘It is a great privilege to have been lucky enough to be the 1000th person to undertake this unique learning experience.
It is evident from the depth of speakers that we have interacted with throughout the week, that there has been a long and distinguished list of successful people that have attended before me, and I am sure the next 1000 Alumni will enjoy the event as much as I have.
I hope to become as successful in my leadership journey as so many of my predecessors, I am sure a course of this nature will help me gain the skills and networks to help guide me along the way.’
Jim graduated from Hull University with a First Class degree in Management Sciences. After traveling the world, he took up a graduate training programme with BT as a web developer. Following promotion to middle management, Jim moved to O2 as part of the BT de-merger to continue his career with O2 Airwave, becoming a business analyst and a team manager. He continued his career to become Chief Information Officer of the Airwave business, managing many successful projects and implementations. Jim is part of the Airwave leadership team.
