The Windsor Leadership Trust is pleased to announce that Sir Stuart Rose, currently Chief Executive of Marks & Spencer plc, has agreed to deliver this year’s Annual Lecture.

Stuart Rose has worked in retail for over 30 years, starting at Marks & Spencer plc in 1972, and joining the Burton Group in 1989. Following the Group’s de-merger in 1997, he was appointed Chief Executive of Argos plc. In 1998, he joined Booker plc as Chief Executive, which was merged with the Iceland Group in 2000. Stuart then became Chief Executive of Arcadia Group plc in November 2000, leaving in December 2002 following its acquisition. He was named Chief Executive of Marks & Spencer plc in May 2004 and takes on the new role of Executive Chairman on 1 June 2008. He is Chairman of Business in the Community and a Non-executive Director of Land Securities plc.

Stuart was awarded a knighthood in the 2008 New Year Honours list.
