  HRH The Princess Royal meeting Alumni and Guests The Windsor Leadership Trust celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Wednesday 14th September 2005. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was the guest of honour at the dinner and spoke on leadership within the not-for-profit sector.
Over 350 top leaders from all sectors in society attended the dinner, held at the Banqueting House, Whitehall. During the evening, guests heard personal perspectives on leadership from a range of leaders.
The diversity of those who spoke reflected the Trust’s unique position of being able to bring together groups of leaders from across all sectors of society to share experiences and learn from one another.

Vice Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent, Second Sea Lord and Fiona Dawe, Chief Executive, YouthNet, gave personal insights into their relationship with the Windsor Leadership Trust.
Martyn Lewis, broadcaster and Trustee of the Windsor Leadership Trust chaired a discussion on leadership with:- Lord Woolf, Lord Chief Justice
- Baroness Symons, Non-Executive Director of British Airways
- Mr Stephen Green, Group Chief Executive HSBC Holdings plc
- General the Lord Guthrie, Former Chief of Defence Staff

Aims of the event Looking to the future, the Windsor Leadership Trust organised the dinner to:- secure commitment from existing sponsors and partners
- build or initiate relationships with new sponsors and partners
- acknowledge the tremendous contribution of its Alumni networks.
Background to the past 10 years The first programme took place in St George’s House in October 1995. Two programmes ran each year until 1998. Since then the Trust has gone from strength to strength in helping to develop exceptional leaders across society.
This year it will run 7 programmes, involving over 150 leaders, from all sectors of society, at different stages of their leadership journey. Over 40 organisations include Trust programmes as part of their Leadership Development Strategy. Over 800 Alumni continue to actively support the Trust.
