Sangita has an unusual background combining business, journalism and politics. She consults to the Cabinet Office and sits on the board of a number of private and listed, global and UK based companies ranging from biodiesel to telecommunications in which she has personally invested/co-founded. This includes Earth Capital Partners LLP, Roshini International and Sweet China Plc.

Sangita was the youngest ever President of the Chartered Institute of Journalists, the oldest and most prestigious professional journalist organisation in the world, a former trustee of Care UK and a board member of the Commonwealth Business Council, set up by Blair and Mbeki designed to facilitate investment from developed countries to developing countries.

Her professional career spans over twenty years at a senior level at Unilever, Mars, Ernst and Young and KPMG.

Sangita was voted Britain’s top 40 media asset and is a frequent key note speaker in a number of forums including the European Parliament. By training she is a qualified accountant and read MSc Economics at University of London. Sangita is married to Philip and has two young sons.
