 Fiona Dawe, CBE Fiona works independently as a mentor, coach and facilitator. She has sat on a number of boards and advisory groups, and in addition to the Windsor Leadership Trust, she is currently a trustee of the Charity Technology Trust, and Changemakers. She is also an advisor to the Young Achievers trust and a mentor for the Clore Social Leadership Programme.
She has 30 years voluntary sector experience and for 11 years until April 2011, she was Chief Executive of YouthNet, the UK's first not-for-profit dot.com. YouthNet runs TheSite.org, the guide to life for 16-25 year olds and Do-it.org, the National Volunteering Database. In 2008 YouthNet won The Charity Times "Best Charity to Work For" - one of her proudest moments.
Following a short commercial marketing career, she became a full-time Community Service Volunteer working with young offenders. She then worked for CSV, prior to becoming Director of Fundraising and External Relations at OUTSET, a national charity providing IT training and employment for disabled people. Following that she was Director of Policy and Development at Volunteering England.
Fiona is Fellow of the RSA and was awarded an OBE for services to the voluntary sector in January 2003. In 2010 she was shortlisted for the Alternative Rich List and won the Charity Times Outstanding Individual Achievement Award.
Fiona is married to an architect who is a painter and print maker, and has a son and daughter. |
